Today’s episode tells the astonishing true story of Teresa Chong, a mother of four in Seoul who fell into a coma with an aggressive, inoperable brain tumor. Doctors said there was no chance of recovery. Her family prepared for her death.
Then a simple photograph of the weeping statue of Akita was placed beneath her pillow… and Heaven moved.
✨ THE MIRACLE THAT SHOCKED DOCTORS
Before dawn on August 4, 1981, Teresa suddenly opened her eyes, sat up, and spoke with full clarity.
- New scans were taken immediately.
- The tumor had disappeared completely.
- Not reduced. Not shrinking. Gone.
The attending physician, Dr. Tong-Wu Kim, verified the X-rays himself.
Multiple doctors confirmed there was no medical explanation for her recovery.
The Korean bishops investigated and officially recognized the healing as a miracle through Our Lady of Akita’s intercession, forwarding their findings to Rome.
This event became one of the strongest confirmations of the Akita apparitions — an independent miracle from another country, involving a woman who didn’t even know Akita existed.
